Bruins over Florida is the boldest call here. With all their injuries to start the year, will be interesting if that is more BOS holding it together or FLA crapping the bed.

1. Debatable
2. Eh I agree with that but it wouldn’t shock me if Seattle did finish above them still
3. Agreed
4. I appreciate the optimism you have for us but sadly I doubt it well at least we have the highest shot a Bedard
5. Yeah I 100% disagree the islanders did nothing to improve while all their division rivals got better in some area (minus probably Philadelphia and Pittsburgh but I give up on doubting Pittsburgh) and I fear that most of the players will regress without Trotz

Some others that I could see

Jets>Stars (that’s only if Robertson misses an extended period of time due to his holdout)

Panthers>Bruins, Lightning and leafs (I know this won’t go down well with many but I still believe in Florida even if the defence sucks at least most of they’re forwards are good on both offence and defence so should take some pressure off the defence so as long as everyone stays healthy they’ll be just fine)

A lot of guys had career years for Florida last year and that defence is... worrisome. They need Bob to continue his success from last season and/or Knight to show something.

I do think that the Atlantic's 3-5 spots are pretty wide open but I like Boston more, even with the injuries to start. Detroit could be in the mix as well but I wouldn't bet on it

I like Vegas' roster a fair bit more, specifically in the D-core and I almost fully expect a move for a goaltender during the season if they're not confident in Thompson/Hill. Vegas' skaters will be improved from last season simply because there is no way they can come close to as unlucky with injuries again. I have Vancouver in the 9 spot in the west but wouldn't be shocked if they sneak in

Anaheim-Seattle is a close one. I like Seattle's forward core a bit more, the D-cores come down to personal preference (offence vs defense really) and the Kraken's goaltending likely regressed back to the mean after last season's disaster. I've never been very high on Grub buy there's no way he's as bad as last he was year

Blues-Wild is basically a coin flip. Both lost very good forwards but should make up for it at least a little bit with their youth developing. Goaltending is shaky on both sides

I think the Hawks have the better roster RIGHT NOW but I also expect basically all their tradeable veterans to be gone

NYI-NJD: I'm going with the upside on this one. Both have great D-cores on paper but I give New Jersey the nod offensively. Goaltending makes it really interesting
