NYR won’t have the cap room. They have 19 M in space (85M cap) and have 6 forwards 4 D and 1 G signed. 10M to AD gives you 11 skaters and 1G with 9M in space. Need 10 more skaters and 1 G (with your prediction being Kane as one F) to have a full roster.

Cap is going up. Dump some salary. Make trades. Add Kane and Debrincat.

The cap is only going up $1 million next season, the only question is whether it will jump in 24/25 or 25/26

The cap is possibly going to have a significant rise in 2024-25 at the earliest I think it was said by Bill Daly. So to make dumps next off-season still wouldn’t be smart even if the Rangers wanted to. There’s still the growing talent of Lafreniere, Kakko, Chytil, Miller, Schneider, and Jones. The only reason move out players would more than likely be for Laf, Chytil, Miller, and Jones who are all on expiring contracts and depending on the year they have could get raises. Adding DeBrincat and Kane would be unnecessary though when they have an already elite top 6 core.
