He was injured prior to the skate. It's one of the main reasons he was worth nothing. That and vegas had to shed cap quick.

Your first assumption is that Anaheim is in the market for a rental, this is incorrect, we are still rebuilding.

Your second assumption is that JVR has positive value. Given the flyers were trying to dump him this off season, that is also incorrect.

If JVR bounces back, AND Philly retains 50%, they may get something from a competitor at the TDL, but it's not going to be Anaheim.

Otherwise, this ACGM is having a laugh, and you picked Anaheim because you were too lazy to find a trade partner where JVR would be a fit for the organizations current status and could fit under the cap.
