I don’t disagree with you, but the nhl is more like the nfl then it gets credit for. DeAngelo and the potential Virtanen signing are two examples of that. I hope justice is served, but I’m not very optimistic.
But there's a big difference between being an a-hole (DeAngelo) and a criminal (rapist)
I thought Virtanen was also a criminal but he was acquainted so no choice to give him the benefit of the doubt. Hope nobody sings him too, he's a marginal talent so no point really

Btw I’m not saying I support it, but if Batherson got bought out he would be signed in a second. I’m not comparing Evander Kane to these guys, but he is an example of how guys of questionable moral character continue to play in the league if they r good. Now what Formenton and Batherson allegedly did is way worse, but I’m not convinced anything will happen. I hope justice is served.
We don't know for sure but the way Batherson has acted socially for months, it doesn't look like he was even at that event that night in 2018. Formenton on the other hand, has totally disappeared. It doesn't look good in his case. Sens signed Motte today to have better LW depht, even though it was by far the deepest position on the team. RW is almost a weakness and they didn't sign anybody specific to that position (Giroux replaces Brown)
Don't worry, if justice decides that it was a rape and some players are found guilty, they are going to be canceled. Society will.

Would you rather them play on the 4th line and 1st PK or top line mins in AHL? Over the first months of the season?
In Greig, Jarventie, Sokolov and Lodin's cases, I'd rather see them play and lead the B-Sens
I was hoping Crookshank would get a real chance to make the team. 4th line LW is the perfect spot for him. Parker Kelly too. Jayce Hawryluk is another guy that could play this role.
