I know Gillies isn't great, but is Johnasson really an upgrade? Johansson putting up a .776 with Florida makes me favor Gillies, even if he is also awful.

Johansson's younger and has shown flashes ( albeit small ) of potential

to be fair, that was only two games, if you gave him like 20 games he'd probably put up like a .890 or something idk

he did put up a .913 in 37 games in the Allsvenskan one year, so he can do well in a specific situation

I would be surprised if I ever come across a goalie matching Giliies level of suckiness.

One thing about Samsonov is his puck play which is a bit of a concern especially late game but then again it is something I find many goalies seem to have trouble with

Heck even the ones who are good got issues

Anyways its something the goalie coach will need to address but hey at least hes not going on adventures in the crease like Mrazek the Explorer.

Honestly shifting Rielly to the right aint a bad idea as there is a report out there explaining the fact he's actually better on that side offensively (https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/move-right-side-suit-morgan-rielly-just-fine-161808836.html)

Dont know if this is permanent but it does solve the Sandin offside issue

If he can come in and give the Leafs 15-20 goals this year, going to help the bottom six look very good. As ZAR Kampf NAK will be an excellent shutdown line.
