nvm he fixed it but initially had canes, given he can play up on 3LW I say this puts a damper on the signing of formenton until after the Hockey Canada investigation resolves

You don't bring in a guy like Tyler Motte if the plan is to give Alex Formenton a multi-million dollar contract.

Its for deals like this I really wish they had an okay/fair button. I know everyone loves his heart and soul, but they signed a good fourth line winger for good fourth line winger money. Good job.

you mean 30 as once ZAR signed a PTO Motte to Toronto was a thing of the past

As both in a sense are the same but do their roles differently

Motte utilizes his speed while ZAR is more aggressive.

Its a good signing but honestly I would have gave Kelly more of a chance to prove himself

As Kelly-Gambrall-Watson wasnt really that bad

Kid has fought for every opportunity he's received in his career, it's only fitting tbh. Even with this signing I think he'll be a regular in the lineup this year. I bet he still plays north of 50.

Motte-Kastelic-Kelly will be a pretty nice 4th line by year's end. Watson is fine for what he is, but Ottawa is better overall if he's your 13th forward. Gambrell I think is just not very good, and I think Kastelic will supplant him as 4C by January if not sooner. He's fine as a 14th forward though.

So Watson's out interesting as I thought he did well for them on the 4th line which is why im surprised with Motte signing

As I thought it was gonna be Kelly-Kastelic-Watson or Gambrall where Kast is

In other years, Tyler Motte would have been THE big offseason get for Ottawa. Testament to how quickly things have turned around in Sensland.

I love this pickup for Ottawa. Solid depth player for the bottom six, which is really starting to take shape. Been a long time since sens fans have looked at the NHL forward group and worried about having to sit a good player.

Worth pointing out that Alex Formenton remains unsigned amidst the allegations from the 2018 World Juniors. Could well be that this is to cover their bases so they don't end up with Parker Kelly or Austin Watson on the 3rd line which wouldn't be ideal at all.
