Subban would be a terrible fit for Hughes

Then Burroughs can be sent down and Poolman can be the 7th D once hes healthy

I kinda just threw the lines together randomly. Schenn could stay with Hughes and Subban could be moved down with OEL or Dermott

Subban is much more of stay-at-home dman these days. His defending down low actually improved in his time in NJ (probably a factor of his health). And he can still win some puck battles (often with the occasional "wide stance"). But, the skating just isn't there anymore. His cannon is still there, and he gets it on net. But the liability with PK is not so much roaming out of position. It is really his passing out of the zone. The guy ices the puck more than anyone. Its where his "go-for-it" mentality never died. And at times, seemed allergic to just taking the easy pass to Hughes or Bratt to skate it up ice. He doesn't fit well with possession/transition style team, especially in need-a-goal situations.

It has been reported that the Canucks have 0 interest in Subban. Wouldn't be a fit here anyway
