Moving out Compher and Johnson would give them 9.5 in cap space, it'd be hard but i could be done and most teams would do it with out thinking twice if that was the costs to add a player like Pettersson

Pettersson is too soft, not good 2 C in a deep playoff run. Great for regular season yes. But I am assuming AVS want's to repeat their post season...
And then it is the cap issues this would cause, on top of that.

They wont have the cap space, For Pettersons new extension plus MacKinnon and Byram. No way this works. They couldn't even afford Dylan Larkin long term who'll probably get the same deal as Elias Pettersson.

Sorry I hurt your feeling, I don't mean he isn't good. Obviously he is making a lot of points. I just mean to me he isn't that physical playing style that I would like in a 2 C, for a deep playoff run.

I didn't say grinder per say. But someone like Kadri, yes. Or J.T Miller as 2 C, instead of Pettersson. I am not dissing him, I am just saying I would prefer someone that has a physical presence, while making points.

He isn’t going to be hitting everybody 10 times per game but that’s not the only thing that matters. MacKinnon had 68 hits this season. Pettersson had 49. Neither of them were super physical. This also doesn’t justify that horrendous trade for Vancouver

Ya it would definitely take Byram to get EP. Vancouver would probably be more keen to do that than Colorado though.
