Yes, I proposed it yesterday, initially it was an offhand joke to give us something not Kerfoot/Holl/Muzzin to talk about. The trade can makes sense for ANA under two conditions.
1: Nylander is interested in being the star RW on the Ducks and extends with us before FA.
2: You believe that Terry is a 50 point per year guy on average. His breakout year, while expected for some time, still saw him shooting at nearly 20%, regress that down to 14% and he scores 28 goals last season. Very good for a 2RW, somewhat lacking for a 1RW. As to why not put him 2RW, because that's where I think Strome goes when McTavish takes 2C.
Willy is only two years older than Terry, he isn't going to age off the team before we are ready to compete, he is only 26 this year, under the assumption that we can lock him up, he is still a great age for the team.
It all comes down to if you think Terry is going to be a Debrincat, or a Ryan Strome. I think he is a Ryan Strome, and since this is the land of LA LA make believe, I propose to sell high on him and use the cap leverage to pry out a known young star from a cap strapped team.
