I think a deal with Price makes sense
It gives SJS an out with him likely retiring unofficially waiting until his Signing bonus's are all paid to make it official
That gives SJS option during their retool or rushed rebuild they seem to be going through.
They can free up the cap to sign UFA's or use the cap if they want to blow it all up so they can reach the cap floor.

Not saying this is a 1 for 1 deal it just makes sense cap wise
This way whatever SJS gets isnt seen as a Cap Dump
