Happy to see someone understands how much cap space the Bruins already have invested in their blue line. Too many people on this site don't realize the Bruins are paying 6 guys Top 4 money or more.

Boston has 5 LD under contract with term. They don’t need more. They will need to move 2 out before the start of next year as it is.

Good trade on paper for Boston. Makes little sense though. Avs would not do that anyway. They are overpaying here. And i say that as someone who thinks Girard is overrated and Debrusk underrated.

That's beyond awful for Colorado. DeBrusk for Girard straight up is already terrible, but you think the Avs should ADD to that? Totally underrating Girard here.

If DeBrusk could bring back a young top 4 Dman he'd already have been traded a long time ago.

That said I do think DeBrusk would fit well in Colorado if Rantanen plays C. This is just a bad trade.
