Holl Kerfoot

Équipe: 2022-23 Canucks de Vancouver
Date de création initiale: 5 sept. 2022
Publié: 5 sept. 2022
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Toronto needs to trade Kerfoot and/or Holl to free up cap space and make room for Sandin, Vancouver needs a tough RHD, Holl is a pretty good cap hit. He's not a star top 4 dman, but is serviceable and will come cheap. Kerfoot is fast, plays the penalty kill/powerplay, can play wing and centre. Dickinson is moving salary the other way. Miller gets to stay on the wing on the top line, Horvat second line centre.

If you're referring to Poolman, he could be moved with a mid draft pick for future considerations. For this season, the Canucks don't have any other options really. Now if Kuzmenko or Pod breaks out and becomes a top 6 guy, the Canucks could definitely move a Garland for a RHD.

Where exactly would Kerfoot play? Have more than enough forwards. Holl is a bottom pair D. No thank you.

Terrible for Vancouver. Shipping out valuable picks for players we don't need, and have no term on their deals.

He is a rental. Being an upgrade of Myers and Poolman is nothing to be proud of

Kerfoot for Dickinson doesn't even free up much cap for the Leafs, and is just additional cap that Vancouver wouldn't want to take on.

Not really, because it's the Leafs who are shedding the cap, by sending Kerfoot and Holl. If Vancouver did need Holl as the OP suggested then at least it should be Holl for Dickinson+2nd+3rd if the Leafs were taking Dickinson as a dump.

no point in trading a 2nd and a 3rd for a rental 3rd liner and a rental 3rd pairing defenseman especially with how bare the prospect pool is

right but it's a few years in the future, not 2023. Those acquisitions could push them into a playoff spot

Unless the course is just lottery pick or fringe playoff team, then yeah go with the team has now. I think Kerfoot and Holl make this a playoff team.

Poolman yeah, but myers actually played well especially under Boudreau. He makes mistakes but he’s a much better player than Holl imo

Because a team with Miller Pettersson, and Horvat definitely need to upgrade on center...

Kerfoot and Holl are definitely what pushes this team into the playoffs? Shouldn't such valuable players be kept on their current team? Wouldn't Toronto want to keep such elite players?

Toronto has cap issues, and a much better team than the Canucks. Why didn't TO keep Mikheyev? Couldn't afford him. Teams can lose valuable players and still be competitive. You know that right? And Kerfoot is an upgrade over Dickenson, and Holl and upgrade over Poolman, no questions asked.

Being an upgrade on Dickinson and Poolman is not very impressive given that neither of them are even good enough to be on our opening night roster. Look at the Canucks. Where does Kerfoot fit? Our top 9 is set. On defense, we don't need Holl. He would either be third pairing or healthy scratch

I guess you have Rathbone who has talent but little NHL experience and Burroughs ahead of Holl? I'd trade the 3rd rounder to acquire Holl. It's a good value trade on a cheap contract.

Hughes
OEL
Rathbone
Schenn
Myers
Probably De Haan. If no De Haan, then perhaps Dermott or Poolman. No reason to pay futures to upgrade our bottom pair.
