This is so very bad. Sandin is worth soooo much more than Lundkvist.

Lundkvist is better for a team that wants to buy low and needs a RHD. I don't get why NYR wants to move him now, seems like a nice piece for a deadline deal for a rebuilding team like CHI, ARI, or PHI.

Rangers are focusing on C Prospects, which a puck moving RHD Prospect can definitely reel in.

Regardless of how anyone actually feels about Sandin, moving Lundkvist for another Defenseman would just be a pointless lateral move.

Especially given how strong the Rangers Defensive depth is, and how weak their organizational depth at Center is.

I saw him. A player whose ceiling is a Bottom 6 or 13th Forward doesn't move the needle for me.

I don't think you know or watch him. Should be in the leafs bottom 6 this season. As for his ceiling I don't really know. But rangers aren't getting blue chip prospects for Lundkvist. The reported ask is a C prospect with some upside.
