Reilly gets one of those pieces….maybe. Kulikov was just dealt for future considerations with similar AAV but on an expiring contract. No term. Moving Reilly won’t be easy at this point.

Seattle doesn’t need him either.

Stralman is a 7th/8th D and is old. Just keep Reilly instead of giving him up for less. Foligno will kill any offense Studnicka and Steen create, not a good fit with them.

Not sure why you’d give Reilly away when his advanced stats had him as a top 4 defenseman? Especially after the contracts lesser defenseman got this summer.
The Bruin fans that want him gone also though Rask was trash for years.

Because hockey isn’t played on a spread sheet, and he’s not a top four D man.

Nobody is taking these contracts Boston fans are constantly assuming they can unload for positive value. If you don’t want them because of the salary cap other teams won’t want them because of the salary cap

You’re random opinion means so much more than analytics. Got it.

Not sure i agree completely with that analogy.

Not all teams are in the same cap situation.

A player like Smith or Reilly has value to teams that have space and a need. Getting those teams to give up value when they know Boston needs to unload one becomes problematic. Does not mean other teams don’t want/can’t use them. There is a difference between bad cap (dump) and moving salary out of necessity. A dump is a team is moving someone neither team wants. A player like Foligno, who has no value to anyone. Smith or Reilly have value under normal circumstances.

Should have been done at the draft, before free agency started. Waited to long. Bad market now.

Think the most likely player to go is Smith. But they have not gotten much for offers on him either.

Please don't bring Kuhlman back. He's awful and got way too many chances with the Bruins.

My opinion and literally everyone else’s. What him pay for a shift and you’ll know he’s not a top four d man.

At least i have an opinion, same can’t be said for you.

Yes those two guys are solid. But like you said, and the main point of my comment, it’s a bad market now. All teams sitting on cap space will want to be compensated for that cap space. Even if guys like Reilly and Smith are still decent NHLers on not horrible cap hits
