With what logic?, The Kings need LD & Sandin is more proven then Durzi at an NHL level They are similar in value

I wouldn't say Sandin is more proven, I think they are similar but Durzi is the RHD. Also, Durzi is likely to command more than 2m, so doesn't really make sense for the Leafs to trade for him.

Sandin has played more NHL games at an inferior level. By that logic LA should uave traded for Nemeth since he has "more NHL experience."

LA's need for LD over RD is not nearly as high as you think since Walker is out indefinitely. Furthermore RD simply carry more trade value due to being one of the hardest positions to fill in the league

By what standard is Sandin "more proven than Durzi at an NHL level"?!?!? Sandin has played 88 games over three seasons, Durzi 64 games over one, in which he scored one fewer point than Sandin has in his entire career. Durzi's ToI last season was over 19 and a half minutes, Sandin's was just under 17 minutes. Durzi got significant power-play time, Sandin got almost none. Durzi clearly has a higher offensive upside, while his very slight size advantage over Sandin hasn't yet translated into a better defensive upside.

No, they are NOT similar in value. And once we re-sign Mikey Anderson, we'll have 4 LhDs under contract with NHL experience, so the idea that "The Kings need LD" is a little overstated.

LA probs would go sure but Toronto has 0 need for Durzi. Guy looked okay at times but when Doughty got hurt and he had to play a bigger role really didnt look great

Sandin to me is gonna be necessary as once Muzzin and Gio retire he is next up and if he continues on this development path gonna be a solid 2-way guy for us for hopegully a long time

Besides the man the myth the legend Niemela is coming and will probs push for a spot in 2023 anyways so Durzi would just get in the way

I wouldn't say 0 need for Durzi, but yeah the Leafs would need you developed LD soon.

There really isnt a need for Durzi and I tried multiple scenerio's and sure trade Holl and bring him in but then your moving on from 2 useable dman

    Rn Toronto's RD

Brodie, Liligren, Holl with depth call ups being Mete and Benn and in a few years Niemela and Hollowell can push for a job

Meanwhile LD in a few years is Rielly and ....? Like sure one of Kokkonen or Kral could maybe become NHL options but honestly if Sandin goes Leafs really got no future guy in that spot

I mean Holl is gone next year, Mete is a LHD who can play the right like Brodie, ofc if Niemela is ready either this or next year then there is no need but there's no guarantee that.

I get Anderson but your saying Bjornfoot who has played 100+ games is not ready but Moverare who hasnt even played 20 games in the league is?
    I dont get that.

Elder is what 37? I dont think he is an everyday player anymore. He has some hard mileage on him to consider too.

I am starting to think moving Sandin would be mistake anyway though.

Let's get the side issue out of the way first: I too believe that moving Sandin would be a mistake for the Maple Leafs -- perhaps even more than you do. You need insurance against Muzzin or Giordano getting injured -- or, God forbid, Reilly or Brodin, as happened with us last season (both Doughty permanently and Roy long-term).

Anderson, Bjornfot, Edler and Moverare are the 4 LhDs I was talking about (being under contract soon), so I don't understand your question about Bjornfot. And Yes, Moverare looked NHL-ready in his audition at the end of last season. (Moverare looked as capable in the same small sample size as Pierre-Olivier Joseph, whom the Pittsburgh guys keep touting as The Next (Expendable) Big Thing.)

Edler is an every-day player until he gets injured. We'll just have to see if last season was a harbinger of this one.

Well Bjornfoot seems more NHL ready then Moverare but you want to send him to Ontario, assuming AHL?

Moverare is definitely under a very small sample size, so much that I think it should not be clear if he deserves a roster spot.

Elder is already starting to demonstrate an inability to remain healthy, I assume Moverare took his minutes while he was injured.
Elder will likely play about the same number of games.

So I what trying say is I disagree that the LD situation in LA would not benefit from adding a young LD.

To me, Sandin is just another young, unproven defenseman in the Bjornfot/Moverare tier, so I don't think adding a clone is an improvement. It would be different if we were adding a top-4 LhD, but Bjornfot and Sandin are still just potentials. Why should we expend a significant asset on a prospect malcontent? Not to mention the fact that he's likely holding out for more money than we're willing to give Durzi and more money than we're able to afford. (The number has to be under $2 million and if that's what Sandin wants, I don't know why Dubas wouldn't have given it to him already.)

I saw Kings sent down Moverare
    Are you surprised?

Who do you think play the left side?

No, I'm not surprised, but I was worried that he would be claimed and I'm relieved that he wasn't because I believe that he's NHL-quality,

We're going to alternate the two Seans -- Durzi and Walker -- between Anderson (who plays with Doughty) and Edler. In Game 1 we had Durzi with Roy and Edler with Walker.
