Debrusk for Garland 1 for 1 would be of consideration. Might get Boston to add a 3rd or mid level prospect as Garland has 2 more years on his deal than Debrusk.

Boston would not trade Foligno for OEL 1 for 1.

That leaves 1st and Carlo for nothing.

Please tell me this was not serious.

Swap Garland with Elias and Boston accepts in a vacuum, considering salary cap is thing…they could not. As is, it sets a world record for quickest rejection.

Are you kidding? Even 50% retained OEL is not worth it. DeBrusk for Garland is a lateral move. Carlo and a first for a cap dump and our own cap dump is incredibly bad for Boston.

OEL at 50% retained is an absolute steal. If you think otherwise, then I question your sanity

    Hello. Unwanted term.

Folignos expiring contract is more valuable to their cap issues than OEL with term at any cap hit.

Boston has 5 LD with term already. Over the cap already. Cap issues beyond this year. Have no use for OEL. Solved top 4 LD deficiency with Lindholm. Find someone else to dump him on. 🤷🏻‍♂️

He's not a cap dump if the Canucks are retaining salary, and term shouldn't be an issue if there is salary retention

The term and cap are a huge issue for Boston. Sorry you don’t understand that. Try someone else.

Boston has 5 FWDs signed beyond this year. 7 d men. No need for another D.

They extend Pasta, Zacha, Sway, Frederic. Call up Lysell, Beecher, Studnicka, Greer. That puts them pretty close to the current cap with a 20 man roster. Plus there will be bonus overages for DK and Bergy. And oh ya. Cap strapped and Zacha and Coyle are top 2 centers.

You still think taking on a d men they don’t need with term at any cost is a good idea for them?

Not talking about whether it makes sense for Boston or not, just explaining the valuation. Also, no guarantee Pasta is extended. If Zacha has a good year, he won't be cheap to extend either being an eligible UFA at the end of the season. Bruins are going to move a LD when Grzelcyk comes back at the latest, can see that they will do so from a mile away

That’s the game plan. But moving pieces mid season with cap hit and term is not easy to do. Reilly will be the one to go. That still leaves them with the top 4 filled for next few years. There is just simply no need or interest from Boston for OEL at any cap hit.
