PK Subban is back, in all honesty, if Montreal could get him to sign an affordable contract like the one here, it would be a win. Keep him as a depth defenceman and if anything you can use the moderately sized contract to deter if we need to clear him through waivers for whatever reason - Furthermore he can be a mentor on defense

For Kirby Dach, his contract at 2.15x2y is not bad, the Habs are most likely only using this as a tryout unless KH is for whatever reason looking for a long-term deal with Dach.
Primeau and the prospect signings are self-explanatory - Dichow and Vrbetic and great goaltenders with very promising traits, bringing in both for TR and Laval will do the team great wonders, especially with the uncertainty with Carey Price.

The Savard and Descharnais trade is a major longshot, but then again we could see a Ken Holland disaster class trade happen again like we so often do.

Slafkovsky I feel is better to be in the AHL but can easily play in the NHL on top line and be shuffled around the positions but I do feel he belongs with 22-14.

Regarding Joel Amia and Mike Hoffman trades, I feel when Kent Hughes said he didn't want to make a trade that hurts the team... well these players and their cap-hits definitely hurt the team. Shipping them to teams that have the cap flexibility and attaching prospects [Tuch who you could easily switch with other B-level prospects such as R. Pitlick] and a second-rounder in 2024 as a low-risk trade chip - At least we get rid of these contracts and we are not giving up much.
