Mine wasnt based off a hypothetical that Lundell outscored Kadri. Kadri has had 30 goal seasons. You're right he will not repeats last season.
Byram elevated his play against higher competition in a more critical time. Lundell did not. The Panthers were the top team last season, I think his points are where theyd be on any of the top teams middle 6.

Sure he had a good run but that doesnt mean Lundell isn't on his level value wise. Lundell had a better regular season than Byram. Byram's concussion problems also bring down his value

I've come around to seeing them closer in value than before but I wouldn't trade Byram for Lundell. Byram is currently better when it counts. Also looking down the road, a top pair do it all dman is more valuable than Lundell will be as a 2c.

You tell yourself that. Lundell doesn’t have 1C potential. He is good and it shouldn’t be interpreted that I’m saying he isn’t good. But Byram has #1 d potential, i mean he won’t be that guy in COL because of Makar but Makar is the best dman in the league. Byram is just becoming what he was projected all along. And imo the value of #1 d far exceeds the value of a 2C.

I dont see why he doesnt have 1C potential. Put up over 40 points in around 60 games as a 20 year old. Not too bad. Maybe not high end 1C but I dont see why he cant be one

Ok well Byram can be a high end #1 d, exactly what he has been at every level. It’s why COL won’t trade him. He literally allows COL to roll a #1 dman out on the ice all game long the amount of flexibility he allows Bednar to have not just with the dcorp but with the forwards as well. I like Lundell I really do, but there are very very very few players I would trade Byram for.

Lundell definitely has 1c potential. The trade is never gonna happen. Panthers aren’t trading their guy and Colorado isn’t trading their guy. Just doesn’t work for both teams cause no one wants to give up their stud prospect who’s already producing
