You think that offer gets Chicago to pay a third party?

Chicago ain't paying a third party, Toronto is. That offer is weak, at best.

    Please make it stop. ☹️

    How about this...

Rangers trade Kakko, Kravstov, 1st for Kane (50% retained)

This is a realistic blueprint to start with in my opinion. What else do the Rangers need to add?

You're right. But so many Leaf fans are like the JG Wentworth TV commercial. "It's my money and need CAP now!!!"

    Monahan 1 year 1 1st
    Muzzin 2 years 2 1sts
Kane at 50% = more than the next highest team
    Kane 25% retention Abruzzese

Just have to fill in what it would cost for Kane at 50% part.

You're telling me. It wasn't even a verified account that tweeted these rumors. Same garbage in EDM with Stauffer babbling like a moron.

One Leafs fan yesterday got mad at me when I disagreed with him. He had Muzzin waiving his NTC for the Coyotes because he can golf and get Sun tans in Arizona to finish his career.

I hate it when people say "I know it's Eklund but..." WHY would anyone believe anything that clown says? Same with all these other so called "insiders."

John Shannon had Kadri to Isles as a done deal. Why can't these idiots just report the trades when they happen?

Like these paid clowns need to have some respect for Patrick Kane. He's a future Hall of famer. One of the best American born hockey players ever. Chicago isn't going to just give him away for table scraps.

    First off, Chicago passes.

Jake Muzzin doesn't waive for Chicago.

And at retaining $2,625,000 would cost at least a 3rd round pick not a 5th rounder.

I feel the same way about Dave Pagnotta. It's a joke that the media is making stuff up for clicks and ad revenue.

Muzzin still has some value though, he’s more here to make the money work plus it opens up a spot for sandin I think 2 firsts, abruzzese and a guy that can eat some tough minutes for the younger players who can also be flipped next year at the trade deadline for likely another 1st if 50% retained

Probably nothing more if Kakko is producing, realistically speaking they aren't going to want to give more if he's just coming in as a rental, and I would imagine Kane would only have a list of 2, maybe 3 teams that he would decide to go to.

The amount of dollars he’s actually owed is far less
