These are base trades. So more assets would be added. That being said, Dobson is as untouchable as it gets in my opinion.

It's just not happening, the teams line up horribly. A JT Miller rental and Tyler Myers at 2x$5M isn't worth giving up a 22 year old RHD who just put up 51 points last season. If RHD is what Vancouver wants out of a Miller trade, then they're gonna have to look elsewhere - the Isles would either be overpaying by sending Pulock or Dobson, or not having enough of they send a package headlined by Scott Mayfield or any of their AHL guys. They just don't have enough depth at RHD to fill that need for the Canucks.

Sometimes I can't move cap when I want to sign a player but I'm better off not doing it so I don't royally screw the next Isles GM.

You are correct islanders fans would not like it. Having a 50 point d-man locked up for 3 years at 4 million is amazing. And Kerfoot you are going to have to pay to dump or take FC. Not that he does not have value, he SHOULD have value. But given the leafs cap crunch you will need to pay to offload him or take FC

I don’t even think he has to worry about his job. Going from Chara and Greene to Romanov and Salo is going to be a huge boost for the entire roster. Those two were arguably the worst two players in the entire league last year.

Leafs take that and run, Isles not so much

I don’t like the idea Kerfoot is a dump. I feel like at the very least someone like Detroit should trade a fourth for him.

Given what patches went for and Bjorkstrand. Both are whom are better players who knows. Look at Fleury last year. Teams know the leafs need to shed cap. With that being said Kerfoot should have value but if anyone gets moved it might be Holl who for some reason has a NTC so who knows if he waives it
