This is a horrible trade for NYI and you know it. You want pulock? Start with a seth jones package. 2023 top 3 protected 1st. Lets even say lekkerimaki equates to 11oa now you need to move the equivalent of adam boqvist last offseason. A top 10 pick who as a dman in his draft+3 year had 40+ points in the nhl. He also needs top pair/line upside at a premium position.
Now that weve established that VAN doesnt have the pieces to get him can we please not make any more pulock to VAN trades so we dont start spamming those like what happened with dobson.

To be fair I’ve seen a few Isles fan trades for Miller that are also awful. (Not as bad as whatever the Miller for Dobson, Raty, and a first was though)

I think 1st+Beauvillier+Mayfield is about all the Isles could do, and we would need Schenn coming back as well for that RD hole we are opening up. Not perfect trade partners but Beau and Mayfield can both help you win now, or be flipped for more futures.

Realistically I just don’t see a trade to be made there Canucks really have no need for Beauvillier and Mayfield isn’t a long term solution to D. The more I’ve looked at Islanders Canucks trades I really don’t see anything (especially now that Dobson officially is signed so surely Canucks fans will realize they won’t get him)
