Yeah, that's why I think Romanov will get between 2 million and 2.2 and Dobson will be kicked up to 7million on a 6-7 year deal . But Lou MO is to bridge players after their ELC's

Dobson is one of those guys I don’t expect to sign a long term deal because of the increase in the cap. I don’t see him willing to give up UFA prime years unless he is really really paid, which rules out 6 plus years, a 5 year contract takes him right to free agency which NYI won’t want to do, so a bridge deal makes the most sense.

Its wild to me that Romanov is both 1. Worth a top 15 pick in a decent draft and 2. Only worth 2-3mil on a 2 year deal. If you are going to pay that draft capitol to get him why not sign him long term?

I mean getting Dobson to sign that would be a great win. I think he takes a 1 or 2 year deal though and then points at nurse and Jones and asks where his 9 million is.
