Irregardless of whether Kerfoot is a good player or not. He is. But the single reason he's likely to be moved is for cap reasons. That makes him a cap dump.
You pay the other team to take him off your hands, you're not getting a B-level prospect plus cap compliancy when you're GM is up against the wall.
Besides, the Wild already have Hartman and Eriksson-Ek. Two players just like Kerfoot, that are just as good. And a prospect like Rossi likely making the team out of camp next month, why block him?
