Isles say no. The reasons should be obvious.

They just want to free some space without retain salary on him. If you want a better pick keep a part.

The Isles were looking to free space to sign Kadri and Bailey was the only player being shopped. That didn’t happen, Isles don’t need space, Isles keep Beau.

If you want us to retain that is a 1st. 4 million isn't that much. Hell look at MTL contracts his wouldn't even come in the top 5 of worst on the team in fact it might be on of the best

How much do we really trust Frank Seravelli? Pretty sure he was just looking for clicks. Elliotte Friedman said that the Kadri to NY rumors had some merit to them. But who the hell knows. Lou doesn’t tolerate leaks.

I mean is Beau a middle 6 forward? Yea
Is he worth more than a 4th? Yes 100%. If Josh Anderson can get a 1st or at least in the mind of Habs fans than Beau is worth a 2nd and adding to that Bailey is worth a 1st

According to MB he is worth 5.5 million. But I just don't get the Beau to Habs rumors tbh. Only thing there is, is that he is French

I think Lou did want Kadri, he has said some really positive things about him like wanting Kadri as a guy you go into the playoffs with. I think the “insiders” got ahead of themselves with Kadri to the Isles as everyone wants to be first, but not necessarily right. Kadri was most likely talking to both the Isles and Flames, and it came down to Lou not wanting too part with a 1st to move Bailey and told Kadri we just cannot make the room for you.

It’s the same thing with Trotz. What that came down to is Trotz told Lou after this year he was going to retire so he was basically a lame duck coach. Lambert was going to be hired by Detroit and Lou did not want to lose him. Lou and Trotz came to an agreement to fire him and promote lambert. If Trotz really was surprised by his firing and wanted to still coach he would have taken one of the 6 jobs offered to him.

I don’t disagree on Trotz. I don’t think the Kadri talks got far. I think “insiders” were looking for clicks. Fans will believe whoever tells them what they want to hear or what they don’t want to hear lol. As long as it’s one of the two they r fine lmao.

You mean like when an Isles fan blogger said something about Anderson and it turned into a rumor, somehow a blogger became a insider overnight haha.
