Have no issue with not signing Kadri as he would have needed to add a 1st to trade Bailey to do it.

No matter what he did though he would be criticized. If he signed Kadri, traded Bailey with the 1st it would have been what a horrible move by Lou to sign a 32 year old for 7 years and he moved a 1st to do it. Instead, it is where is Lou, why didn’t he sign Kadri.

Haha. Lou is hard to judge. My guess is he has skill, potentially tonnes of it. But he's so damn stubborn, that as he's gotten older he's just gotten more stubborn and more full of himself and refused to evolve.

He clearly has the ability to negotiate well and similar things when he wants. But at other times he appears to just choose his guys (all north American middle six/bottom six tough, "character guys") and just give them deals that are more than they're worth, but not so terrible that anyone is like wtf
