I think this would be a solid deal for both sides. Calgary will need cheap forward help for a couple years and has to clear some cap space now that Kadri is coming to town.

Wings have plenty of help coming at forward and Zadina hasn't proven to be a standout at the NHL level, though he's more than serviceable and likely wouldn't cost more than 1.5 mil if that to extend for two years. Detroit also has cap space to burn and the 23' draft is loaded. If Calgary did send a first, I'd be fine with it being lottery protected.
