Agree. I think all 4 go back to AHL except Regula is the 7th Dman.

Mitchell and Reichel could use another year of ripening in my opinion. I’m not sure bringing either of them up just to put up below average numbers and get below average ice time is worth it to their development. Keep them in AHL getting top line minutes and have them get valuable experience.

He's gonna be able to play instead of the young gun so they can get good minutes in the AHL instead of this trainwreck. Aswell has he might he's a late round pick at the TDL

I think we’ll see Mitchell make the team with Johnson acting more as the 7th man. Also taking into account injuries and healthy scratches, Mitchell will likely play the majority of the season. What this avoids is having another prospect as the 7th dman often being healthy scratched and playing bottom pair minutes when they do get in. We do have a lot of d prospects though and someone likely needs to be traded. Not enough room in Rockford.

I've been pretty positive this whole time that Reichel, Regula, Mitchell, and Vlasic would most likely play in the AHL. They have been filling all the holes in Rockford with Veterans that can teach the younglings how to be professional hockey players and want to build a "winning culture" in Rockford. They don't want the tank to effect the development and mentality of all their young players, and they only want prospects coming up when they are ready for the NHL beyond a reasonable doubt. I think they also want Richardson to cut his teeth at the head coaching position with a roster full of veterans too. Gives him guys that already know how to be a pro and are going to work hard for him, and that will set the tone for when young players do move up the ranks. Also, CHI now has a ton of trade bait to help load up on draft capital for the rebuild. It just makes sense. But then again, every time I think I understand something Davidson is doing, he seems to do something that totally flips that understanding on its head. So, we'll see...

Its actually a pretty good signing considering the Hawks are trying to tank. Mrazek and Stalock being defended by Seth Jones and Jack Johnson is exactly what needs to be done to land Bedard

But I’d assume veteran leadership but also sucks at hockey so the hawks can tank would be the reason.
