You sure reduced Marners role. He was the only player on the #1 unit in every situation. You took him off the #1 line, PP and don't have him on the PK at all. That wouldn't sit well with the all-round best player. imo

Marner with JT to get JT going again - production not what it was previous to Marner being teamed with Matthews. Kane is very good buddy with Matthews - so pair them together and make everyone happy!

Took Marner off the #1pk bc... PK time = more chance for injury

Took Marner off the #1 PP bc... now 2 lethal PPs instead of just 1 threat and 1 throw away waste of time

Obviously these coaching items are interchangeable and not exactly SUPER relevant to the trades proposed. Embarrassment of riches allows for many options 5 on 5 and on the PP and PK.
