Kynzhov might be done at the NHL level?

Knyzhov is out at least 6 months with an Achilles injury. Why would you pay to move Simek and not use the cap space? Vegas trade is fine, Bonino would get more than a 6th (even more if the Sharks retained a bit), Nieto trade is fine.

Lines mostly look okay, I think Eklund will play in the wingwith Couture at center. I'm not expecting Bordeleau to make the team out of camp, but I could see him making the roster by the TDL.

Moved simek because he doesn't really have a future with the sharks + I didn't use the cap because I want connor bedard. Similarly I don't see a lot of difference between him and megna. This is post deadline team which is why I had bordy in but I agree he wont make the team out of camp if we still have bones and sturm. Im still hopeful for kynzhov but imagine he starts with the cuda after his injury

I remain hopeful because of how young he is but definitely see him spending a lot of time in the coming years with the cuda

Paying to move someone makes no sense if you aren't going to use the cap space you saved. It doesn't matter if they don't have a future with the team, just bury them in the minors/scratch them until the contract is up. The result is the same, and you have 2 draft picks that you otherwise threw away. I don't think the Sharks can realistically be in the running for Bedard, at least not in the bottom 5 unless Meier, Hertl, and Karlsson miss the entire season.

Right now the sharks are projected to be the third worst team in the league (tankathon) and T3 by casinos and betting odds, you can use simek money for meier renewal + reinforcements next season or signing a new goalie if hill doesn't stay
