I think Ned was actually quote good considering the team in front of him. He ended with a 0.901 save percentage and considering the team I think that's good. Also I feel he stole a couple wins for us. I don't think the defense we got is the answer for playoffs but the forwards we got well definitely help with the defensive side of the game as well.

Bruins likely struggle to crack the post season, not because they are bad, but rather so many key contributors are missing decent chunks of the season that it probably puts them behind the ball and they will have to grind in the last half of the season to make up the ground.

Toronto is 100% sink or swim on their goaltending. They are either fantastic, or they break the curse of 1st round exit by missing the playoffs entirely. I see no middle ground here. Matthews and crew don't seem to have the heart to save them game when their goalie has a bad night, as was shown with Campbell last season.

I think both Florida teams make the post season again, they are largely unchanged from the core rosters they had last year.

Sens, Islanders, and Blue Jackets likely enter the race for the wildcard spots with, and I have no clue what Carolina is going to do. They have taken on the Vegas plan of making massive changes each year, so they could be amazing again, or they could implode.

I agree this D lineup doesn't look good enough to push for a playoff spot but what if you replace Walman & Oesterle with Edvinsson & G. Lindstrom?
It's possible both happen and also this D lineup looks way better than last season's.

This ACGM seems like it's pretty pessimistic. I'm happy and optimistic that we have Ned & Husso instead of Ned & Greiss/other old backup goalie.
I think having two younger guys who both want to start and win creates a competitive environment to bring out the best in both.

WIngs didn't sign Copp to a 5 x 5.6 to be a third line winger

Lindstrom and Edvinsson will be playing, at least to start the year.

Nedeljkovic who was still considered a rookie last season went from playing 23 games on a very good Carolina team to playing 59 games on a bad Detroit team. With the defense Lindstrom will be in the 3rd pair over Oesterle because he is better and he did take that spot from Stecher because he was better than him. On the left side Edvinsson beats out Walman for the spot in the 3rd pair and will probably be better than Maatta but with Maatta being more of a defensive defenseman he gets paired with Hronek to try and mask Hronek's defensive shortcomings.

You're not the only one worried about the goaltending. Husso is almost exactly the same situation as Ned last year. He has limited experience but good results on a better team but still you don't know what you're getting in the long run.

Depending on how Copp plays either Suter or Veleno will become expendable. Erne and Sundqvist both play a similar style so I don't see both being on the team next season.

Not that much because I think they will push each other something Ned didn't have last year. Plus the team has improved still not a playoff team yet but better than last year. Barring injury neither will have to play 59 games.

Husso and Nedeljovic will be fine.

Walman is out after shoulder surgery. Lindstrom will be in Osterles spot.

Andrew Copp is Detroit's 2C not Pius Suter, Yzerman isn't spending nearly $6,000,000 for 5 years to have Copp on the 3rd line.

Zadina will be eventually signed and play where Copp is listed.
