My thoughts on Nucks

Description
My thoughts on Vancouver.

They’ve gotten better a little bit.

I see people trading jt miller, but honestly I think nucks are keeping him, they’ve got mikheyev now which is great add on Vancouver. He’s overpaid but can he score 21 goals again? Or could he score more? I could see Vancouver making it to the playoffs or even getting a wild card spot.

Vancouver also has very good depth imo

Why keep a guy who’s going to leave? There’s no magical trade that’ll save face like Calgary got away with to be had

Then they’ve would’ve traded him already, jt is probably gonna go next offseason or stay to get the money. But I honestly don’t think he’s going to get traded

I think so too but it’s bad asset management

Can we put this to bed already? The team wants to resign the player, the player has also stated he wants to resign. Clearly the team hasn't made their best offer yet and is playing hard ball in negotiations. Team has stated they dont feel the need to move him until closer to the deadline and will only move him if they have to.

Actions speak louder than words.

I understand that but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s bad asset management when you can get more for him now than at the deadline

Canucks aren’t keeping Miller. The money is too far apart and has gone against everything management has said. He is gone 100% by the deadline

Not true. Team is waiting on 2 things.

1. They want JT to come down a bit on his aav.
2. They're waiting for more info on where the cap limit is going in the coming years.

I know the stuff that the GM and president of hockey operations have said in numerous interviews. Yeah keep making a fool out of yourself.

Most likely (& most reasonable) is they keep him and trade him at deadline if they are out of it. He could sign an extension during the season but the longer it goes on, the more likely he walks (or they flip him at tdl). Canuckles are 50-50 to make the playoffs imo - oil and flames are better, so it’ll be a dog fight with kings and vegas from there.
