How is Connor Hellebuyck overhyped lol, the Jets have been one of the worst defensive teams in the league for years and he's the only reason they haven't been bottom 3-5 in recent years

I mean, this in itself is not a half way decent team that is also cap compliant lol

He was one of the very best (he won the Vezina so for one season the best) goalies in the league… until this past season. And they have some pretty reliable defensive players in Ehlers, Lowry, Morrissey, Pionk, and Dillon. Everyone focuses on Schiefele and Wheeler and I think they forget the names I mentioned

I never said they were bad players

1 Caufield had a nice rookie season. He has potential but is far away from being a star.

2 Hughes is further along but the kid breaks in half with contact. That’s a recipe for a short career

3 Hellebuyck is probably my harshest choice but last season wasn’t his best

4 Nylander wouldn’t be overrated if he wasn’t a Leaf but because he is one that moves him way up the list. Your fans here act like he could never be acquired in a trade unless the other team gives up half their roster

Oh and Zegras is a player I like more than the others you mentioned but I’m sick and tired of people hyping up his lacrosse goals

Sure he does. You guys love to talk about how great your defence is (and it is very good) but I have been around and around with Canes fans over Skjei and Hanafin way too much. And Miller isn’t overrated on here except by Canucks fans

I was just saying that for a real team, not too shabby of a squad, and it fits the current cap (because I saw 500,000,000 so I figured you would assume the team would go over the normal cap. If you took the time to make it cap compliant than bravo).

I already explained Jack Hughes, the kid can’t not be broken in half by a hit. And Quinn is good on the PP and decent enough 5 on 5 but he’s no complete defenceman like the nucks fans like to pretend he is.

Zegras is good but I think the highlight reel goals make people think he’s even better than he actually is. Boldy had a great rookie year no doubt. Wild fans on here will have you believe he is the second coming of Gordon Howe. Unless you are one of the leafs fans I’m about to mention, how can you not laugh at these Leafs fans who think Kerfoot should return a 2nd rounder?

I don’t think any Canucks fans really call Hughes a complete defenseman. He’s obviously a great offensive dman, but I think his defense is a little underrated, he was much better in that area last season. Still not great defensively but it’s not a negative like it was in his second year

That might be a fair point on Zegras, but I do think he can easily be a great 1C. As for Boldy I don’t really see many Wild fans overhyping him, except the one guy who’s got about 5-10 different accounts who overhypes every Wild player

A lot of Leafs fans definitely overvalue their players including Kerfoot, but the other 31 fan bases pretty much call him a cap dump. Because of that I don’t think he’s overhyped

Cold Cauliflower is not overhyped. He’s a solid prospect of MTL that is likely going to pan out. This year should be the tell.

Kerfoot is the most devalued player by leaf fans they’ve ever had. It’s sickening.

Justin Holl is the funniest example of people on Cap Friendly. Fans all over “We need a big body right handed D man with a low cap hit! Too bad it would cost an arm and a leg…” meanwhile Justin Holl averages 20 mins a night.

If Skjei is overrated, Miller is DRASTICALLY overrated. Skjei is a 2LD on the best defensive team in the sport. You compare Skjei and Hanifin... I'd rather have Skjei than Hanifin at this moment. He's better than Noah and it isn't close. Skjei's numbers last year were INSANE with Pesce. He's actually incredibly underrated on here. There's people that call him a glorified 3rd pairing D man, and that is just comical.
