This team is truly a superstar forward away from being big time contenders. All they need is for one of Quinn, Cozens Thompson or Savoie to become that guy. Or with a bad season this year, one of Michkov or Bedard. Also Levi will be in the NHL in two years. NCAA this year then a few weeks in AHL then NHL. He is that good
Buffalo could have three superstars by 2024-2024, Power, Dahlin and Levi.
There was only one Superstar on the Bruins 1990-1991 team which made it to the third round
23 Craig Janney
8 Cam Neely
10 Ken Hodge
27 Dave Christian
20 Bob Sweeney
26 Glen Wesley
12 Randy Burridge
28 Garry Galley
36 Jim Wiemer
32 Don Sweeney
19 Dave Poulin
Ray Bourque
Only Christian and Neely exceeded 200 career goals, the 1989-1990 team actually made it to the cup finals.
I see the Sabres mirroring the 1992-93 Canadians!
No super stars just a lot of good solid players with a great GK.
I may be a dreamer but I think Skinner, Thompson, Olofsson, Quinn and Tuch could all exceed or be close to 30 goals.
Cozens, Mittelstadt, Krebs, and Peterka in the 15 to 20 goal range.
@sabres89 "we basically have 3 lines of skill players"
Get one more solid RHD (let me say it again all four cup finalists played with 3 RHD and 3LHD)
Levi has the potential to be a Vezina winner.
Dahlin and Power play up to their expected potential I can see the Sabres getting to the playoffs without a super star, then anything is possible.
Unfortunately I got my hopes up 8 year ago when ESPN had 8 Sabre prospects ranked among their top 72:

We all know how that turned out.
Somehow this feels different.
Primarily Murray is not the GM, Karmanos seems to making the trades and Crowe is directing the drafting along with Ventura.
