I want f***all to do with Kerfoot. And even less to do with Holl.
And it has nothing to do with whether I think he’s good or not. As a player, I think he’s fine. The Wild simply just don't need or should want him. That's it.
Why should the Wild want to bring in something they already basically have in Hartman? Hartman is already basically a Kerfoot clone, and is cheaper as well as a year younger to boot. Aside from being a better distributor of the puck, Kerfoot's numbers are more or less identical to Hartman's over the last three years.
The only gain to Kerfoot's game that the team would be acquiring would be that playmaking. Whereas Hartman's is that he's younger and cheaper.
That isn't enough of a reason to bring him in.
Then there's Eriksson-Ek. Yet another player that fits into that same category. He costs more, but is worth his contract due to being one of the best shutdown centerman in the league.
Finally, acquiring Kerfoot would just block Rossi. So, that's a no thank you. If the goal is to get a better playmaker on the roster, there's your ticket. So, punch it.
Next.
Don't call us, cause we won't call you.
