Those are awful trades for the Canucks. Garland > Beauvillier and no need for Varlamov as a 5M backup. I wouldn’t even do Garland or the 1st straight up for that package, let alone both. Also Myers 50% retained has much more value, and we shouldn’t trade him right now as he’s our best RHD

At the cost of picks the Canucks got less forward depth and (somehow) even worse defence. No reason for them to do this

Awful trade with the isles. Makes no sense for the Canucks. I think they should trade Miller but for a younger player, pick and a prospect. Canucks defence is a mess with myers and oel. I'm not sure how you fix that.

Why do the nucks need varly? And value aside at best garland for Beau seems like a lateral move.

Also at half retention Myers has value and Hags is a cap dump so even if Myers isn’t needed for the caps they probably jump all over that and you lose that trade too.

no need for Varlamov as a backup and it's awful for downgrade from Garland to Beauvillier and add a 2023 first. There is also no need to dump Myers half retained for LTIR space. Myers is still a serviceable defenseman if overpayed
