That Detroit trade is bad for the Jackets. Goalie is the thinnest position in the org. Tarasov is a good goalie prospect and he is our only one. He should be a NHLer capable of pushing for Elvis' job starting in 2023-2024. Add Bean to the deal and you're acquiring a depth winger (the last thing the jackets need).
Eric Robinson fits very well into what the Jackets do need out of their depth forwards that stick around (speed, high motor, penalty kill, locker room). The compensation is fair don't get me wrong but coupled with the first trade its silly to move the perfect guy for the role and plug that spot by overpaying massively for another depth winger
