Description

With Jacob Trouba being named captain, that means it's unlikely he'll be a cap casualty, so it got me to think about how the team can manage raises, and cap issues to keep the team together mostly.

I raised the cap a mill thinking it may be raised by a mill next year.

Maybe some bridge deals can help.

What's with the Lundkvist trade? Are Rangers fans really that panicked to throw a young, talented defenseman to the kerb? Jesus, that's an unnecessary trade...

Just keep him. At worst, he'll be a cheap 7th dman. At best, he'll blossom into the top 4 RHD and powerplay quarterback that he was predicted to a year ago.

Being named captain doesn't mean as much as Trouba having a NMC. It still wishful thinking that Goodrow can be moved...he has M NTC and teams pay structures now don't allow for 3.6m third line wingers.

As much as I would like to flip Goodrow for Thomas Bordeleau and get a 3rd. There is no way Drury can get Grier drunk enough to do a good friend deal like that.
And IF he would, that would probably end with FBI investigation - followed by lawsuits - followed by long jail sentences.

And for me personally the STL trade doesn't really work for me either, I feel like NYR could get a bit more
