they should do what Calgary did with Tkachuk and trade him to a team that he will extend with. Barzy is my favorite player but if you can get a Seth Jones/Tkachuk haul for him you take it and run honestly

They have an elite winger and elite d man on an ELC. Outside of that it’s really just Larkin, Bertuzzi and Hronek who are proven. I like Edvinsson and Kasper tho!

Seider is worth Barzal plus more. Untouchable unless McDavid is available 1 for 1. Seider's ceiling is a Lidstrom/Kronwall hybrid. His floor is a...Zubov/Kronwall hybrid. If he stays healthy, he is minimally top 10 D for the next 10 years.

There's zero chance you'd get either Raymond or Seider for Barzal, It's not even up for discussion .

With adding Copp, selecting Kasper, and seeing Niederbach coming along very well, we really don't need to thirst after Barzal or any other C trades right now. If someone comes along in FA, that's one thing, but we don't need to spend the major assets it would require to acquire a guy like this now.
