Brännström is a pretty underwhelming Dman, to the point you have to question if will ever be an NHL regular
Formenton is linked to the WJC assualts, until hes clear and shown to have 0 involvement, no team is going to touch him with a 10 foot pole.

Given what might happen to Formenton, Ottawa should take this trade and run away with it.

That’s not a real offer for Girard. Formenton potentially nuclear hazard. Branstrom has as much value as Kaut does who was ironically taken 1 pick after him which isn’t much. That doesn’t get you Girard much less COL adding a 2nd. That’s straight ridiculous.
