This is a very interesting one-I get why a lot of people would take Danault, there's no doubt that he's better defensively and brings pretty good offense as well, but Trocheck is better offensively and brings pretty good defense as well. I'd personally take Trocheck, as I feel he was overshadowed a bit in Carolina and will absolutely thrive (unfortunately) with NYR.

My thoughts as well, but both Danault and Trocheck scored at about the same pace last season, although it was so Danault who exceeded expectations, where as Trocheck was more average for his standard

His offensive game really did break out as well once he started playing with a more dynamic player in Arvidsson this season. I think not having to be the guy and getting to play behind Kopitar helped elevate his game.
