No. I actually think Romanov is going to come in for less. They’re bridge deals. But I’m not sure Lou does the bridge deals. Will see. And i think Kadri gets $7m max cause no one is really competing w isles for 5-6 years.

Personally, I don't think the Avs should trade Girard for a guy like Pageau - he's a somewhat better version of Compher but makes $1.5M more and is about to turn 30. If he were a steady 45-55 point guy with plus possession stats and were a few years younger, then it's worth considering .

I think on COL he easily hits 40-50 pts.

I agree he'd produce more with the Avs but considering the way the roster is built, swapping out Girard for Pageau is probably a net negative. Now, I will say - and you may not like this part - if you threw in a pretty good prospect rather than the 2nd along with Pageau, that might get the Avs attention. We're talking someone like Raty (who wouldn't have a spot if Kadri is coming in) or Bolduc or Salo. Overall, I do think the Avs trading Girard this season is unlikely (if they ever trade him) but a really good return - what many would probably call an overpay - would definitely get the Avs attention.
