Don’t think the stars or really many teams are gonna bail oilers out. Normally Barrie isn’t a cap dump but given how the offseason has played out it’s gonna be hard to move him. And Foegele is a dump at this point.

The problem I see here is that Dallas has $10.3 million in cap space and the difference between Barrie's and Hakanpaa's cap hits is $2.5 million. So that means that the Stars would have $7.8 million to re-sign both Jason Robertson and Jake Oettinger. And now you're adding Foegele and his $2.75 million cap hit to the dump.

Not to mention the Stars get much worse defensively.
