Hayes at 50% Retained Wouldnt be a Cap dump. He's overpaid but not a bad player. And I think you're underpaying a bit on the free agents.

Ryan O'Reilly gets at least 7 x $7,000,000 and Mackenzie Weegar 7 x $6,500,000 if not slightly higher.

Boston already has Coyle who seems to fit the slightly overpaid 3C spot. so unless he's going back the other way i don't see this move happening.
