VAN has probably missed the boat on getting maximum return on Miller (last deadline or the draft were probably the two prime opportunities).
But if Allvin comes out publicly and states that they're selling off Miller (50% retained) to the highest bidder in the next week, I wonder what the best offers would look like. At only $2.625m salary for an entire season rental, there should be a lot of suitors. My guess would be somewhere in the ballpark of;
- 1st or similar level prospect
- 2nd or similar level prospect
- useful, mid-tier, youngish player to offset the salary (if the player is more of a cap-dump then another pick might be acquired)

THE WINNER IS.... The Columbus Blue Jackets, offered by The_Cannon.
Honorable mention to TMLBRIAN for the Maple Leafs offer, which would've also been acceptable (with perhaps a bit of tweaking on the retention).
The premise was to do the auction before the season starts, but the deadline works too.
Yea, I was just sending in a Late Submission for the TDL. I didn't see any reason why the sabres would do something for him unless it was a TDL move to make the playoffs.
im surprised you did not take the leaf offer to be honest, main prospect being a rd too.
It was a close offer for sure, and may have won if not for the inclusion of Schenn. The Canucks should be able to get a 2nd for him at the deadline, so the TOR offer was really a 1st, Niemela and Kerfoot. Still good, but there was more value in the CBJ deal.
