Montreal is not giving up what equates to 3 1st's + 2nd and two top 9 centers for a guy we have a good probability of signing for just a contract in 2 years or OS after the 2023 draft and only giving up a 1st + 3rd on a 1 year 6.25 mil deal. An offer sheet of that type pretty much forces the Jets to take the compensation as they won't get a better offer at the 2024 TDL as that is basically the going rate for a rental but the picks would be higher than any contender at the deadline would offer.
