1. Those players were dealt at the deadline...when most teams have an idea where they are picking. None of those guys were traded in the summer when teams are gambling more with their picks.
2. Two of them are also dmen. Wingers have less trade value, especially as rentals. (Not my rule, but it has been a trend in recent years).
3. Also, Foligno got a #25, Savard got #32. I specifically mentioned not getting a likely top-15 or top-20 pick.
4. You are asking a team that has picked in top-12 last two years.
5. Not all 1st round picks are the same.
6. Happy to go toe-to-toe with anyone on my knowledge of NHL, especially when it comes to trading draft picks.
1. Your first point isn’t that important. Who says we aren’t trading him at the deadline?
2. Miller primarily plays center. He can actually play all 3 forward positions and plays all special teams in every scenario
3. I think the difference between Miller and scrubs like Foligno and Savars is A LOT more than a few draft spots.
4. I’m not saying Miller to CBJ makes sense, I’m saying that your counter offer is simply horrendous
5. Again, no matter the year, if Foligno, Savard, and Chiarot can get first round picks and more, I think 99 point JT Miller can do a lot better
6. Your argument displayed hasn’t given me very much confidence on your knowledge of trade values and draft picks
