Description
The Ducks are my 2nd team as a former Masshole now in SoCal. I love this rebuild and it’s almost over. Klingberg at the deadline should bring in a haul. Sell on Shattenkirk as well and get something for Grant.

Too much for Edmonton to dump Foegele. Like a fourth round pick maximum. He's a quality third line forward, Edmonton simply cannot afford him anymore.

Chicago likely takes him for free or pays a late rounder for him.why entertain this deal?

Why would a team pay to take a guy they don’t have to have when you have to get rid of him?

Because Chicago is quickly running out of NHL forwards, especially if any of the noise surrounding Kane and Toews is remotely accurate.

Foegele was just listed as a top-100 LW in the NHL: if Bjorkstrand can fetch a midround pick and a late pick. Then Foegele at least nets the late pick.

Listed as a top 100 LW? Was he 99? Seriously the guy is an ok player… and nothing more. You’ll give away some kind of pick. It may be a 3rd or a 4th but I’ll be blown away if you get something back. I would t be mentioning him with Bjorkstrand. The are two peas in different pods

Cause I was trying to sneak Bailey in there instead of a 3rd.

Sorry that’ll cost you a bit more to move that contract

Yea, I was hopeful he could at least get a 4th but with how this offseason is going just can’t see him getting moved. At least he’ll get his 1,000 game with the team this year.

Bjorkstrand scored 28 goals and 57 points last season, and has topped 20 goals 3 times, with 18 during the 56 game season. He's a consistent goal scorer. He also had more goals last season than Foegele had points. They are 2 very different players and his value is significantly higher than Foegele. If teams know you have to get rid of a player you lose your leverage, meaning Foegele has almost no value or negative value when he's an unnecessary piece to a team not trying to win.

Yeah, but Chicago has already shown that they will take Foegele with a 4th and like it too, by taking Mrazek with the smallest of pick swaps.

I don't like the term Foegele has, pushes out one of the kids who needs the reps, less of an issue if we move Grant out, he seems like a decent grinder though overpaid.

I'd love the Colorado deal, but doubt they'll pay that much, There core is essentially intact, a partner for klingberg will be someone on the outside looking in that needs more offense. Tampa, Washington, Boston, and NY Rangers stand out on the season scoreboard. High pick or talented prospect coming back the other way.

Not sure Carolina takes that deal, we would probably get Bear or picks, doubt we can pull off both.

Probably not a problem that we are sitting on 1 RD at seasons end, half the league will be free agents next season, its going to drive prices down.

Canes don't really have the cap space unless they deal Gardiner and they don't really need another RHD.

Eating up cap in the 1st trade is smart.

COL doesn't need Dmen at all. So you'd have to find another team.

The Bear deal is interesting if CAR likes Shatty more but I don't see why Ana would get picks when they are getting the younger player.

Bear isn’t anything special. Shatty may not be what he once was but as their 3rd RHD in a playoff run he’s certainly an upgrade
