kind of agree with the guy above! plus Chicago would want prospects 21 and under as 23/24 doesn’t fit into their plans right now (for some reason I yet to understand)

Any Kane discussion starts with a 2023 First round pick. And seeing how Davidson has privileged acquiring picks over prospects, I'm guessing it starts with 2 first rounders.

Yes I think we know any Kane deal would have to include a teams 23' 1st unless an absolute top prospect is included (unlikely)

Regula is also highly thought of amongst management and a likely component of our teams defensive corps this year. He looked good in a small sample at the back end of last season, under Richardson we hope to see further improvement. I wouldn't be prepared to include him so nonchalantly in a package that we are selling.

I was bored and just having fun but I needed to start the thread somewhere. If NJ is giving up a 2023 1st rd pick which would have to be lottery protected and with salary retained from Chicago, what are you thinking it would take? What else would CHI give up prospect wise? Unless Kane signed an extension (which I doubt he would do), the leverage isn't as high. If Kane is a pure rental then this deal never even sees the light of day unless NJ gives less. Plus it doesn't happen until the trad deadline most likely as a rental. Kane as rental makes no sense for NJ unless they were on the cusp of a cup.

NJD likely not a destination unless they are competing at the TDL. I don't think you will see CHI giving up a prospect in the Kane deal unless the return is very much worth it.

Personally I think if NJD were to be in the mix it would be a top 10 protected 23' 1st + someone like Zetterlund and a cap dump CHI may send back a mid-late round pick but thats what I see personally as an example.
