Severson for Garland is certainly fair. Wouldn’t be my first choice, but cannot quibble on value.

Garland isn't a 3rd line winger

Wings short on RHD after Seider and Hronek in system, so highly doubt they trade a 25 to player for a 32 to player who makes 6 million. We might overrate Hronek, but at least he is cheaper, more offensively skilled and younger and controlled for 3 more years at least.

Also Wings have no need for Hoglander as they have several players waiting to make the jump to the big club. So forwards they do not need.

Lastly Wings have players to sign over the next 3 years and paying a player who does not match rebuild timeline, 32 now and 34 when contract is completed makes zero sense.

I agree. I’d have to lean toward accepting that deal, maybe moreso if it’s a 2023 pick. Id also be okay with not doing this deal, but it certainly isn’t as certain as “wings decline” or “wings accept”. It’s worth a conversation.

Hronek is NOT more offensively gifted than Myers.

Hoglander is a guy I view with the expectation of taking a huge step next year. I think he’ll break out and score 20+ goals.
