Got to have the Florida first, and if Barron is coming, he’s playing time to make some room for some of the kids. Sink of swim time. Good start but a few moves to go

Eh Montreals 2nd will only be within 5-8 picks of the 1st but that’s why I put the condition on it, Barrons the 7th d man he and Heinola will swap obviously there’s going to be injuries so he will get quite a bit of playing time

That's probably what Winnipeg is asking for Dubois. I wouldn't mind giving Dvorak and Barron for Dubois. Not sure MTL need to add the 2nd rounder.

WIN would have to take more salary back, probably one of Hoffman or Armia. MTL need cap space to extend Dubois and sign Dach.

Your probably right and I’m more speculating on what I would want done, jets need another scorer like laine to be relevant again. Especially with the aging and uncertainty of scheifele and wheeler. Connor and ehlers can only carry them so far, so time to see what they have in samberg/heinola and anybody else in that category. Would rather gamble on samberg and heinola, then drop Schmidt to third pairing, demelo and Dillon would be on the block for me if your moving Dubois. It’s kind of a one foot in two canoe scenario and there going in different directions otherwise.

Replace Barron with Hoffman
Remove Pitlick
Then you have a deal
Dvorak + Hoffman + the higher pick between MTL and FLO 1st RD pick. Both pick are top 10 protected, if both picks ends up being top 10, then WPG receive MTL 2024 1st RD pick

Hell no, Hoffmans a cap dump, Barrons the only reason this deal gets done because Jets want a RHD, If you’re giving this terrible offer and a 1st you’re going to have to have them unprotected

No chance Winnipeg moves Dubois without a 1st coming back. Unless of course the roster player/prospects are much higher quality.

MTL don’t have RHD either, only Justin Barron and Logan Mailloux and they are in a rebuilt. So they won’t trade both IMO

They got Mallioux and Kostenko, Winnipeg is 100% asking for Barron or Dach if they move Dubois they want a top RHD that doesn’t have off ice issues like Mallioux or Dach who’s from Saskatchewan and young

Like I said MTL won’t move Barron and Mailloux but I wouldn’t do Dach and a 1st for PLD. Rather wait 2024 and see if he wants to sign here

You’ll have to overpay since he’s a FA and if he blows up you could be like looking at a 8.5ish million deal

If he wants more than Nick Suzuki we won’t sign him but apparently he really wants to play here. So he takes Nick deal or he can choose to sign elsewhere
